Seen passing through Evesham station. The tour had been originally routed via Kemble for the return journey, but was eventually switched to the Cotswold Line, enabling me to photograph it in both directions. I think I made a better job of the return leg, and ended up discarding the outward leg photograph as part of the 2018 HTM5 upgrade to this site.

The locomotive is one of four examples of the class that have made it into preservation, although initially it looked like the locomotive might end up as a source of spares for the other three. Happily, it ended up being restored to operational status in its own right, and is now (as can be seen here) passed for main line operations.
