As I mentioned earlier in the collection, I was not exactly sure when his birthday was, and adopted June 15th based on information given to me by the pet shop he was obtained from. June 2014 marked Jerry's 10th birthday; 10 years is a reasonably decent lifespan for a chinchilla, but Jerry would end being around for a surprising further amount of time, another 5 years.
