Two months on from the previous photograph, and work is progressing on the new halt at this location. I believe that this is the first time I have managed to photograph a tender locomotive facing south at this location, and I got a decent exhaust effect as well. What I didn't get, on what was overall a very overcast weekend, was any decent lighting, and when reworking the image, I aimed to get as much contrast between the skyline and the exhaust as possible. I also decided to produce a black-and-white version of the image to see if it would mitigate the dull lighting conditions and maybe add some more atmosphere to the photograph.
