Taken on the afternoon of the second day of the line's 2022 "Mixed Traffic Gala". This is probably the best shot I took all day; the morning's work was somewhat indifferent, partly due to overcast weather and occasional rain showers, and partly due to the fact that I ended up spending nearly an hour and a half on a stationary train due to a signalling problem at Gotherington, as a result of which I dropped my planned photography stopover at Gotherington.
The locomotive was taken out of service on the GWSR at the beginning of January 2023, so this is likely to be my last photograph of it for some time.
The lighting effect is partially artificial, with a sunset effect applied.
