P41950 - BR 2MT 78022, Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway - Lineside - Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway

My decision to walk from Winchcombe to Far Stanley (and then onto Gotherington) in the middle of a heatwave was perhaps not the best one I could have made during this event, but I survived it, and this is one of the workings I photographed in the hour or so I spent at the location.  By this point, it had become obvious that the timetable have deviated significantly from the published one; I think this was the working I'd expected to photograph at Gretton (see earlier).

In the end it was around five hours between departing Winchcombe and arriving at Gotherington, by which point I was pretty much exhausted.  In hindsight, perhaps I should have walked from Gotherington to the location, or perhaps not done it all, but I suspect that there won't have been many more people that would have done this; certainly not by walking from one of the stations.
