This is another example of a 35mm image making it to this collection due to the chances of being able to repeat the scene digitally being unlikely, at least in the near future. Shortly after this photograph was taken, the locomotive was withdrawn from active service due to a failure of its monobloc casing, and subsequently was reduced to the status of "Static Exhibit", with a return to operational status unlikely to occur for some time.
