P40547 - GWR "Castle" class no. 5029 "Nunney Castle" - Steam Locomotives - GWR

Another of the guest locomotives of the event, seen in a rare burst of sunshine somewhat in short supply over the weekend.  The locomotive was being turned at both ends of the line, so spent most of weekend facing forwards.

If the presence of the LSWR T3 class had been enough to get me back to Somerset for a weekend, seeing this locomotive again was the icing on the cake for me.   In fact, my first encounter with the locomotive had also involved the West Somerset Railway in March 2001 (the weather then wasn't all that good then, either, and the locomotive was struggling due to a technical issue at the time; 24 years later, it redeemed itself).
