This locomotive was reconstructed by the 6880 Betton Grange Society using components from donor locomotives including "Modified Hall" class no. 7929 "Willington Hall", as no original build "Granges" survived into preservation.
This was my only encounter with the locomotive during the weekend. As I understand it, it failed on the Sunday, and was not rostered for the Monday (the Monday timetable being altered at the last minute as a result of various issues on the previous two days, mainly the extremely hot weather that weekend).
