Valley Railway Adventure
(Formerly "Evesham Vale Light Railway")
This is a 15-inch narrow gauge railway that runs through the orchards at Evesham Country Park/ The Valley. Opened in 2002, it is currently just over a mile in length and is open at weekends and during school holidays. As the nearest steam railway to my home, I tend to make at least one visit a year, and like Hidcote Manor Garden, it often sees test runs with new camera equipment.
As of 2024, the railway has been rebranded by its new owners, hence the title change of this collection to reflect this (a name change I don't like as I think it's rather vague, and could cause confusion; there are other "Valley Railway"s). I've also decided that photographs taken before March 2024 will remain labelled as "Evesham Vale Light Railway" to avoid things getting messy, with subsequent ones labelled as "Valley Railway Adventure"
