This is a 8-acre garden located just north of Weymouth in Dorset.  Formerly a brickworks, in 1957 it was acquired by Norman Bennett for his pond plant business, as the pits created by the brickworks had filled with water.  In 1990 the gardens were designated a Site of Nature Conservation Interest (SNCI), not only for the wide range of plants, but for the range of fauna as well.
