This train wasn't stopping, otherwise I might have caught it. I had walked to the station from Lydney Junction after a disappointing session at St Mary's Halt where vegetation hampered the view I wanted (in the end I decided to scrap the images from that sequence as not worth the time needed to process them).
I spent longer on the station than I had anticipated. The timetable was already slipping due to the late departure of the train I had travelled from Norchard to Lydney Junction on, and finding myself in time for a late southbound service (not the one shown), I was left standing when this service, timetabled to stop, didn't. The station staff apologised for this, and reported it to the Duty Officer. In the end, I ended up catching the northbound service I had originally planned to get, and arrived back at Norchard about half an hour after I had originally expected to.
