Because I'd rather tired myself the previous day, I did initially debate whether or not to attend on the Monday, and use the day to recover instead. However, I did want right-hand shots of this locomotive and 6880, which I hadn't obtained during the previous two days, so I decided I would go, and concentrate on getting those two shots, without straying too far from a station (I had considered a long-overdue return to Salter's Hill on the Monday, but after my efforts on the Sunday, and with the heatwave still in force, I felt I would be pushing my luck too far in doing this).
Upon arrival on the Monday, I discovered that because of various issues on the Sunday, the original timetable had been revised, with several of the locomotives being dropped from the roster for various reasons (including 6880, so that part of the plan was lost), and fewer overall services. 15189 ran shuttle services between Toddington and Broadway, and is seen here arriving to take the first northbound shuttle out; I would travel on this to Broadway and back, and this would be my only train ride on the Monday. I got my right-hand shot of this locomotive, although perhaps another location would have been better as the background spoils it a bit for me.
