The locomotive's 2nd visit to the birthplace of its creator (I believe), having been through in the opposite direction in 2017 (See "Steam Locomotives - LMS").  I wasn't actually certain of which locomotive was working the tour until it came through.

This is not one of my better photographs.  It was an very overcast afternoon when the tour came through (I'd been expecting it to work out to Worcester via Evesham and return via Stroud; the directions ended up reversed), and I'd set the camera for a very fast exposure which was going to result in a high ISO setting, so image noise was already going to be an issue.  I'd also adopted my technique of underexposing to avoid sky burnout, but I think in this instance that was an error; the locomotive was too underexposed for my post-production methods to recover without generating a large amount of noise, and the best attempt I came up with (so far) was to work on the camera JPG file rather than the RAW one.  I doubt I will be making this available for a wall art sale; I don't think it's of sufficient quality to do so.

This was the first time in nearly five years that I'd photographed a train passing through Evesham from the station platform.
